Demonstarion units work time after time¸ day after after day¸ year after year after. Above left IR-DB demonstration unit opens and closes more times in a week at a show than most people would go in and out of any door over the next ten years. Hour after hour¸ open close¸ open close. This unit was put together in 2003 and has been operated by hundreds of people. It just keeps working so we keep using it.
The unit on the right is about the same age but operates on a door in an environment that may be very dry for long periods of time ¸but in certain times of the year¸ the humidity is very high exposing the wood to quite a damp environment.  A bevel was put on the cylinder bolt to help it locate more easily under those extreme conditions. The bolt is solid brass with a hardened steel pin. These locks are well made.

Satin Chrome¸ the most popular choice in the IR-DB lock. It is the industry standard. Clinical and practical it suits many applications.
